Membership Dues

To pay your dues using a credit or debit card, please click the link below. Dues go towards food at monthly meetings, 501c3 and CPA expenses, website maintenance, R.J. White expenses (travel, hotel, etc), Honorarium Plaques for new members, and postage. Current Bylaws stipulate annual dues are $225 for members in active surgical practice. Retired members do not have to pay dues. Guest fee of $20 per guest.

Qualifications necessary to be a new member of this Society shall be:
1)         A valid license to practice medicine.
2)         Proper training in surgery, such as a residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the AOA, Bureau of Osteopathic Specialties.
3)         Eligibility for certification by the American Board of Surgery or a Specialty board approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties. Eligibility for certification by American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. After five years of eligibility, certification by one of these boards will be required.
4)         Congeniality.
5)         Limitation of practice to surgery.
6)         Two years of active practice of surgery in Tarrant or nearby counties.
7)         The new member must agree to present a scientific topic at meetings of the Society as often as possible.
8)         Exceptions to these qualifications may be made by majority vote of the FWSS Executive Committee.
